Requirements
- essential
- 1x ASA Swim England Qualification
- first Aid Certificate
- safeguarding Qualification
- current Enhanced DBS Check
- knowledge of the National Curriculum for Primary School Swimming
- minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering Swimming lessons to 5-11 year olds
- experience of using IT Software to complete administrative tasks
Responsibility
- planning and delivering Swimming lessons using a variety of techniques to engage and educate children
- helping children to develop their swimming ability and reach their full potential through consistent support
- using high-quality equipment and following safety standards to ensure lessons are a safe and enjoyable swimming experience
- creating a positive and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable and confident to learn
- providing regular feedback and evaluations to children and teachers to track progress/celebrate achievements
- completing relevant risk assessments and logs to ensure safety of participants
- taking appropriate steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation
- teaching water safety skills to children in a fun and inclusive way, ensuring that they understand the importance of staying safe in and around water
