Responsibility
- ensure that the organisation complies with all local, federal health and safety regulations and standards
- identify workplace hazards through regular inspections and risk assessments, and develop strategies to mitigate and eliminate these hazards
- develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs
- provide safety training to employees, including new hire orientations, and ensure that employees are aware of safety protocols
- investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
- develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure employee preparedness
- promote a culture of safety within the organisation, encouraging employee involvement and reporting of safety concerns
- maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training
Requirements
- experience working in Manufacturing
- practical knowledge of working in a similar role and able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current regulations
- NEBOSH qualification
- full driving license
