ground worker
Responsibility
- perform groundwork duties, including excavation, concreting, drainage installation, kerbing, and general civil engineering works
- operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
- read and interpret site plans, drawings, and project specifications
- ensure all groundwork activities are carried out with precision to meet high safety and quality standards
- work collaboratively with site teams, engineers, and other trades to achieve project milestones
- adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures, particularly those relevant to nuclear site operations
- maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition
Requirements
- proven experience as a Groundworker or in a similar construction-based role
- strong understanding of civil engineering groundwork processes, materials, and techniques
- experience working on regulated sites is desirable
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- CSCS card required
- CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operations are beneficial
- full UK driving licence
