Responsibility

  • overseeing the day-to-day operations of the transport department, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • coordinating and scheduling delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize carbon emissions
  • managing and maintaining transport logs, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulations
  • conducting regular inspections of the fleet, overseeing maintenance and repair schedules
  • collaborating with internal teams to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and resolve any transport-related issues
  • implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols within the transport department

Requirements

  • hold a CPC qualification in transport management
  • experience with electric fleets of lorries, including knowledge of electric charging infrastructure and setting up charging hubs
  • possess previous experience in managing fleets of lorries
  • familiarity with logistics and delivery operations, although experience within this sector is not essential
  • demonstrate proficiency in maintaining transport logs and scheduling maintenance activities
