- producing 3D models
- create drawings for new products
- maintain existing drawings via Change Notes
- doughty Engineering are world leading manufacturers of rigging, suspension and lifting equipment for the entertainment industry. Our equipment is used in film, TV, theatre and events throughout the world
- create manuals for existing and new products
- we are seeking a professional and experienced Cad Technician to become part of our engineering team and manage the companies Cad data within Solidworks PDM
- sending files for sub-contract manufacture
- oversee the testing of new/existing products
Requirements
- A good knowledge of Solidworks and PDM with the ability to work unaided essential
- A good level of competence using the MS Office Package
- to be able to read industry standards and produce relevant product manuals
- familiar with standard engineering sections and materials
- A good understanding of CNC machining capabilities, sheet metal and fabrication
- an understanding of electrical principles
