Responsibility
- own all aspects of financial management, including management accounting as well as strategic finance such as budgeting and forecast
- develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- collaborate cross-functionally with our commercial and tech team to drive process improvements and efficiencies
- lead the preparation and presentation of financial performance and projections to the leadership team and the board
- continuously explore ways to improve and review our financial strategy
- conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities
- support in negotiations of new contracts with finance partners of external stakeholders
- work with our external accountant on financial controls, payroll and tax to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and closing per GAAP
Requirements
- good understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements in the UK
- effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, safeguard and influence decision-making
- detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively
- proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive continuous improvement
- 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in accounting or finance roles
