  • preparation of quarterly Management Accounts for all group companies
  • oversight and management of Cash Flow for all group companies
  • preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns to HMRC for all group companies
  • the Donelec Group is a non-trading holding company which was set up in 2003, however, our trading history of the associated limited companies dates back to 1947
  • reconciliation of deferred and postponed VAT to coincide with the quarterly VAT returns for all group companies
  • within the Group is Don Controls Ltd and Don Electronics Ltd, which are both based in Yeadon, Leeds and Synatel Instrumentation Ltd, which was brought into the Donelec Group in 2014 and is based in Cannock, Staffordshire
  • authorisation of all bank payments for all group companies

  • experience of Sage payroll systems and processes would be advantageous
  • some experience with project management

Responsibility

  • responsible for analogue circuit and PCB design for both the development products and test rigs
  • responsible for optimising current test methods for efficiency
  • responsible for specification, design and delivery of the Test Programs from concept through to completion
  • mechanical assembly and fitting of the electronics and other apparatus to aid the test department in efficiently testing the product
  • responsible for being the lead test rig design and development engineer ensuring continuous improvement and maintenance of the existing and development of the new test rig designs
  • provide feedback to the product designer to modify/improve the product to aid the production testing
  • labVIEW Software development to complement the test rig PCB and automated recording of all the test results. Striving to continuously improve the automated nature of the test rig design
  • produce high standard work instructions to ensure high quality workmanship within the Test and Production department

Requirements

  • hands on experience of conceptualising, designing and developing electro-mechanical products for manufacture, reliability and ease of use
  • experience of software development using Basic and C language
  • an excellent understanding and proven track record of Analogue electronics and PCB layout techniques
  • good development, documentation, release and revision management skills
