Responsibility
- procuring construction materials and equipment, ensuring they are purchased efficiently and meet the required quality standards
- procure hired-in plant equipment, ensuring timely delivery and collection in coordination with external suppliers
- develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating prices and terms and ensuring accurate invoicing
- coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to project sites
- manage inventory levels of construction materials and equipment, ordering new items as needed
- manage inventory levels of hired-in plant equipment, ensuring timely return to suppliers to avoid additional charges
- develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting on procurement activities, including cost savings initiatives
- collaborate with other departments to coordinate procurement needs and ensure effective communication of procurement activities
