Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • to implement and work in accordance with of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose for your service
  • to produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, clinically informed practice
  • to lead and manage a team to deliver excellent care and support for young people within the service
  • to support adults to achieve the highest standards of care for the children and young people
  • to carry out routine meetings, supervisions, probationary reviews and lead on investigations for any concerns raised with your staff team
  • to co-ordinate and monitor casework and administrative functions of the home and evaluate standards of performance
  • attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
  • to be involved in recruitment of the team including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees

Requirements

  • you must have recent experience working within the residential sector at registered manager level within a children's residential service
  • A Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care or equivalent as a minimum
  • thorough understanding of the regulations and legislations which set the standards within a Children’s Home setting
  • ability to work closely with Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership
  • substantive experience in a Managerial role including supervisory experience
  • A Certified Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards completing this
  • experience in leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting
  • full UK Manual Driving Licence
