Responsibility
- to implement and work in accordance with of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose for your service
- to produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, clinically informed practice
- to lead and manage a team to deliver excellent care and support for young people within the service
- to support adults to achieve the highest standards of care for the children and young people
- to carry out routine meetings, supervisions, probationary reviews and lead on investigations for any concerns raised with your staff team
- to co-ordinate and monitor casework and administrative functions of the home and evaluate standards of performance
- attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
- to be involved in recruitment of the team including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees
Requirements
- you must have recent experience working within the residential sector at registered manager level within a children's residential service
- A Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care or equivalent as a minimum
- thorough understanding of the regulations and legislations which set the standards within a Children’s Home setting
- ability to work closely with Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership
- substantive experience in a Managerial role including supervisory experience
- A Certified Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards completing this
- experience in leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting
- full UK Manual Driving Licence
