Requirements
- A minimum of one year’s experience of working with children
- excellent team working skills and ability to work well as part of a diverse and dispersed team
- up to date knowledge of mental health, specifically in relation to the difficulties that may present in children with autism
- be willing to adjust your communication style to meet the needs of the children you are working with
- where necessary develop new skills to enable communication through sign and symbols
- must be willing and able to accompany/participate in community activities of the child’s choice
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- an ability to travel to and across Crawley
