Responsibility
- due to growth my client a well-established logistics company are seeking a transport shift manager to join their Carlisle depot
- my client specialises in national/international distribution services and have been operating or over 50 years
- they currently have 3 depots in the UK and growing
- day to day management for the transport operations with a fleet of 30 vehicles
- overseeing the transport team and administration staff
- transport Responsible Person for ensuring that all DVIR checks are completed daily and that defects are raised and actioned
- main transport contact for the Compliance & Planning function, ensuring that assets are released in line with the schedules
- working closely with all internal departments to ensure customer SLA’s are adhered to

Requirements
- good knowledge of driver hours/ legislation
- previous experience in a transport department & supervisory position
- good understanding of Transport management systems
- string in compliance & health & safety
