- to care for the personal and dietary needs of each child with sensitivity and kindness
- to always act as a positive role model for the children in her/his care
- to maintain accurate and up to date records for each key child through observation, assessment and planning
- to care for the differing needs of individual key children through a fun, stimulating and loving approach towards each child and their learning
- to encourage progress in early learning skills by personalising and differentiating a developmentally appropriate curriculum
Responsibility
- undertake any tasks that the manager may set for the benefit of the children in her/his care
- attend regular staff meetings when required
- ensure the nursery manager is kept abreast of any incidents, accidents and information that pertain to the smooth running of the nursery
- maintain the safety of children at all times
