Responsibility

  • designing and developing software systems to fulfil high-level business requirements
  • elaborating high-level business requirements into system requirements
  • implementing secure, resilient, scalable, and maintainable systems
  • using interfaces to develop well-structured, testable code that exhibits a clear separation of responsibilities
  • ensuring software components developed are thoroughly unit-tested

Requirements

  • ideally, the candidate will have experience in the same role in the i-gaming industry
  • experience designing and implementing software systems of significant size and complexity
  • ability to take ownership and lead projects from inception to deployment
  • excellent software development skills in at least one language and the ability to learn new languages as and when required
  • experience with SQL database and transaction processing
  • experience developing APIs
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Backend Developer role is required to be effective in the shortest possible timeframe, as the role is key to keeping the DGC objective of being live in each state as it opens
  • capable of writing testable and maintainable code using unit-testing frameworks
