Responsibility
- an ‘eyeball’ for detail with good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels within the workplace
- team player who promotes safety compliance by shaping new protocols and strengthening existing Health and Safety policies
- attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organisation
- minimising or removing the Risk of accidents, work-related illnesses, and injuries within the workplace. Understand the application of the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the Companies business
- keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Director and Group QHSE responsible for Health and Safety any relevant new legislation
- to carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms
- advise the Group QHSE Manager of all incidents reportable under R.I.D.D.O.R
- ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma /NVQ Level 6 or equivalent
- minimum 3 years Top Tier COMAH Site Experience
- staff Role 38 hours per week mainly working around Humber Area
- overtime may be required during Shutdowns and Outages
- full Driving License required as local travel in Works Vehicles will be required
