Responsibility
- conducting routine inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance of plant machinery and vehicles
- your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity
- identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues and developing effective solutions
- compiling estimates for repairs and renewals
- performing repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
- carrying out preventative maintenance to ensure longevity and reliability of equipment
- keeping accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and completed repairs
- complying with health and safety standards and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- proven experience as a Plant Fitter and Vehicle Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- strong knowledge of diesel and petrol engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment
- ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
