Responsibility
- second Chef - Village pub in the Market Harborough area
- collaborate closely with the Head Chef to execute a wide array of dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence
- assist in managing the kitchen during service hours, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating
- contribute creative ideas to menu development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- display proficiency in various cooking techniques, ranging from grilling and sautéing to baking and plating
- we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to be a part of our dedicated kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of delectable dishes that keep our customers coming back for more
- support the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team dynamic
Requirements
- previous experience as a Second Chef or similar role in a restaurant or pub setting
- culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are a plus
- strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene practices
- creativity and proficiency in crafting both traditional and innovative dishes
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
