Responsibility

  • booking production capacity with product appropriate factories in order to correctly deliver production quantities on time to critical path
  • sourcing new and affordable suppliers who adhere to the company’s ethical and technical criteria
  • where possible react to any changes in customer demand
  • placing production orders with appropriate factories in order to adhere to the critical path and required delivery dates for monthly product launches
  • interpret sales data in order to predict future sales, where there are seasonal links to sales etc
  • negotiating prices for the product which may be cross costed between factories in order to achieve a best value for money price
  • pitch ideas to senior management and the design team
  • liaise with the factories to maintain dates by helping to mitigate technical difficulties. Keep the management, design and technical team informed of any instances where dates will potentially change
