Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • we are looking for an experienced HGV Technician for our busy garage in Pye Bridge, Alfreton
  • you must have experience and a clean driving licence, with a minimum class 2 qualification
  • you will be required to attend breakdowns, and occasionally carry out works at our other site in Derby
  • A company van is included
  • salary negotiable depending on experience
  • you will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance, inspection and repair of our fleet, consisting of skip lorries, tippers, grabs, artics and trailers
  • some flexibility with working hours is a must, along with Saturday working. . A basic knowledge of computers would also be advantageous. The position is full time, but part time would be considered
  • completion of all vehicle paperwork

Requirements

  • A strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing
  • have a positive and proactive approach to manual fault finding, through to resolution
  • have the ability to self motivate and use own initiative when required but also be an excellent team player
  • class C+E / HGV Class 2 driving licence - essential
