  • preparation of monthly departmental P&Ls and presentation to budget holders involving discussion of variances to forecasts and identification of cost savings
  • preparation, reconciliation, and submission of the Club’s VAT return whilst ensuring tax codes are utilised correctly at a transactional level
  • posting and reconciliation of credit card transactions whilst developing credit card reporting and automation with the Club’s ERP system
  • ensuring the Club’s purchasing policies are adhered to and developed. For example, purchase orders, two-way matching, and purchase invoice approval workflows
  • enhancing financial reporting through the building of Excel/Power BI dashboards to both streamline the month-end cycle and aid budget holders
  • to work with the Head of Academy in submitting grant funding requirements and budgets
  • balance sheet account reconciliations both at departmental and subsidiary level. Key accounts include prepayments; accruals; fixed assets; deferred income; bank accounts and credit cards
  • assisting in project management and payback calculations for investment appraisals

Requirements

  • AAT qualified, or have an equivalent qualification, or be qualified by experience
  • working towards a professional accountancy qualification would be desirable
  • 4 years’ experience in a finance/accounting environment, either in industry or practice
  • preparation of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • being comfortable managing large datasets and presenting thereon
  • understanding of good internal control systems
  • designing and developing financial reports

  • have a presence in the dining room to advise player choices and monitor dietary intake
