- engineering Degree qualified or equivalent
- 5 -10 years’ experience in Avionic Systems Engineering domain
- expertise in the principles and application of ARP 4754, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-200, RTCA DO-254, and RTCA DO-330 or Equivalents
- an in-depth understanding of the full product lifecycle of programmes particularly for the UK MoD and the MoD customer acquisition processes
- broad Systems engineering lifecycle knowledge and application of associated Technical Reviews
- understanding of the MAA Regulatory Environment and MACP
- familiar with Avionic supply chains and capabilities
- dedication to quality, configuration, reliability, security and safety with a data and evidence driven mindset
- support the SME in developing forward strategies for modelling investment and training
- support ongoing projects as Systems Modelling Engineer
- work with other engineering capabilities to develop systems solutions for both internal and external projects
- provide technical consultancy to clients and internal stakeholders
- to deliver innovative value-for-money products and services to customers to enable safe and secure operations
- provide input into Research and Development Programmes

- desired Qualifications / Prerequisites
- designing and implementing software solutions
- develop software in accordance with requirements and agreed design, with consideration for software quality and future maintenance
- engineering background in weapons systems or design
- educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- proven skills in software design and development using: C/C++, C# Ada 95, Java
- previous demonstrable experience in a technical author / writer role
- worked in a quality driven environment utilising a technical control system, for example a regulated industry
- ability to work in a team
- HNC/HND, City and Guilds, or equivalent, in an IT or business discipline
- demonstrable technical document writing experience
- excellent written and verbal skills and strong interpersonal skills
- you will join a dynamic team at Delkia reporting directly to the Engineering manager
