- support the implementation of BCDR industry standard and best practices
- define and manage a Business Continuity Threat Analysis Matrix and proactively manage the associated risks with relevant stakeholders
- actively contributing to the overall functional strategy and take overall accountabilities for all aspects of the Operational Readiness that provide assurance of Build to meet operational outcomes
- ensuring alignment to and enhancement of quality and standards, include overall department performance measurement, internal customer engagement and feedback, driving CSIP activities
- review existing and new BCDR contractual obligations and assurance of these into enduring service and influencing commercial decisions
- capturing internal and external requirements for Operational Readiness including targets, criteria, frequencies, volumes, scopes, specifications and quality levels – on an ongoing, evolving basis
- identify resource requirements, and work with the Operational Governance team to meet defined projects and support acceptance activities
- manage the annual DCC BCDR testing programme. Own, maintain and deliver testing / exercising schedules including crisis management, IT-DR, workspace recovery, 3rd party resilience assurance and people / teams
- support the development and implementation of the Business Continuity and Resilience programme across DCC, to include new Business Continuity Management Application
- record and report on performance of Operational Readiness activities to senior management
- responsible for the BCDR Testing within DCC and with the Service providers across the entire DCC ecosystem such as SMETS1, SMETS2, Switching, NEP etc
- working with the other ORMs to integrate individual plans into a master programme plan, ensuring all Capability plans are aligned to the overarching delivery
- ensure DCC and SEC engagement processes are being adhered to
- the response that they have received via the Standard Complaints Channels and that has exhausted all avenues to resolution contained with the DCC Complaints Procedure
- developing the appropriate Operational Readiness policies to underpin our customer needs and influence our suppliers’ behaviours
- monitor and report on important changes in forecast assumptions

- lead and manage the creation of transition impact assessment standards that meets the requirements of the business
- working closely with DCC wider teams map new contacts within existing and new customer organisations in support of DCC future plans
- providing assurance to EXCO that all HLE responses are addressed in collaboration with DCC Legal and DCC Regulations, and that assignment, investigation and resolution is achieved with efficiency and to the satisfaction of all parties
Requirements
- master’s degree in economics or a related analytical subject
- familiar with industry standards like ISO 9001, ITIL and ISO 27001
- experience of working within a regulated sector, such as energy, telecoms, water/wastewater

- experience in implementing and maturing business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, including business impact assessments
- an experienced Resilience and BCDR Professional who demonstrates significant experience of delivering Business Resilience in large scale IT Eco Systems / Complex Organisations
- ability to understand and recommend the resolution of complex problems and focus on the critical issues
- strong negotiation and influencing skills
- seasoned Resilience and BCDR Professional having experience to implement frameworks aligned to industry standards and good practice
