design manager
Responsibility
- leads the design process through pricing/ tender, detailed design, construction and post-construction stages, working with the Project Manager
- works collaboratively with wider team to undertake design scoping activities, reviewing client requirements, and packaging subcontract design works
- review of subcontract design proposals
- provide support to Project Managers in commissioning site investigation and design work
- leads the civils and MEICA design process through pricing/ tender, detailed design and construction support stages, supporting the Project Manager
- carrying out site scoping/ survey visits with the Project Manager, when required, to obtain information necessary for design development
- review scope of design works with project team to feed into delivery plan, identifying design activities, inputs, outputs and timelines

Requirements
- BTEC HNC/HND in an engineering field as a minimum
- degree in an engineering field
- membership with relevant professional body - Progressing towards a Chartership with relevant chartered body
- ability to use Microsoft project to manage programmes
- full Driving license required
- appropriate CSCS card
- 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably wastewater based
- ability to take decisions and demonstrate accountability and
