devops engineer
Responsibility
- work for a growing consultancy that has a strong focus on innovation and collaboration
- initially working for a high-profile client
- analyse client’s existing processes, identify and implement opportunities to optimise these processes, and develop solutions to deliver service improvements
- architect, implement and manage continuous delivery pipelines on AWS to ensure teams can deliver code frequently whilst maintaining quality
- support in the automation of test cases and embed these within delivery pipelines to ensure code remains robust
- implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
- define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS using AWS native services and/or the ELK stack
- implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform
Requirements
- we are also happy to consider candidates with Azure/GCP experience who are happy to cross-train
- experience of working within large, complex and geographically dispersed Programmes
- comfortable working with the command line in Linux, creating Bash scripts
- experienced with configuration and management of version control software
- experienced amending and writing Infrastructure as code templates, using Terraform or CloudFormation
- ability to debug and optimise code and automate routine tasks
- STEM degree, 2:1 and above
- 4+ years proven experience in working on relevant system administration and/or DevOps projects
