Responsibility
- we are seeking an experienced pastry chef to join our team at Dash Cakes, a wholesale dessert supplier
- develop and execute new recipes and ideas for wholesale dessert products that are both visually appealing and delicious
- prepare high-quality desserts such as cakes, tarts, pastries, and other confections using premium ingredients
- ensure all products are made to company standards and are consistent in quality and taste
- work closely with our sales team to understand client needs and preferences, and create products that meet their requirements
- manage inventory and order supplies to ensure smooth production and timely delivery of products to clients
- maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety and sanitation guidelines
- train and supervise junior pastry chefs and assistants as needed
Requirements
- at least 3 years of experience in pastry production, with a focus on wholesale dessert production
- knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- strong attention to detail, with a commitment to creating high-quality products
- ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed
- formal pastry training or certification is preferred, but not required
