Responsibility
- conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in litigation matters
- draft, review and negotiate legal documents including pleadings and settlement agreements
- provide strategic guidance to clients on potential risks and litigation strategies
- represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration and mediations
- attract and retain new clients
- collaborate with other teams within the firm and external counsel to ensure effective case management
- stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends to provide proactive advice
- manage a diverse caseload, including but not limited to contractual disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, business disputes and contentious probate and Inheritance Act claims
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor with at least 7 years of experience across a wide range of litigation matters
- A strong academic background with a post qualification focus solely on litigation cases
- proven experience handling difficult litigation matters without supervision
- excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills
- effective communication and negotiation abilities
- sound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
