as a small business, you will be expected to help in all aspects of making Dahlia Beach an exciting and aspirational place to visit
ensuring there is enough foliage and filler flowers for the workshops
cutting and arranging flowers into bouquets for visitors and farm shop
Requirements
excellent communication skills and preferably some sales experience

as Site Supervisor your role will start by working closely with our onsite Farm Manager
supervising a freelance team of flower pickers to fulfil wholesale/market/customer orders
setting up the packing stations for the boxes in the grain store
preparing the field for planting
managing and submitting pickers timesheets to farm manager
packing of the Dahlia Beach tuber boxes
assisting with the planting of the tubers
liaising with the farm manager regarding deliveries and collections
Requirements
horticultural background of at least 2 years
excellent communication skills

potting Up Dahlia Tubers: Assist in potting up dahlia tubers, ensuring proper planting depth and soil conditions for optimal growth
planting Out Tubers: Help plant out tubers in designated flower beds, following planting schedules and spacing guidelines
sowing Seeds: Participate in sowing seeds for various flower varieties, ensuring proper seedling care and transplanting as needed
washing Buckets: Clean and sanitize buckets used for harvesting and arranging flowers to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination

tuber Labelling: Quickly and accurately label dahlia tubers while performing quality control checks to ensure they meet our high standards
order Picking & Packing: Reliably select and pack dahlia tubers to match customer orders, ensuring everything is secure and presentable
inventory Management: Managing and maintaining supplies like labels, pens, pack sheets, boxes, and tape to prevent delays
stock Organization: Handle materials with care, keeping the warehouse organized and co-ordinating with the team leader over issues with fulfilling orders
postage Labelling: Apply the correct postage labels to packages with precision to ensure smooth delivery
loading & Unloading: Assist with moving stock safely and efficiently when shipments arrive or orders are dispatched
quality Control: Check that all tubers meet our high-quality standards before they leave the warehouse
