Responsibility
- to complete grant applications when required for your service, with agreement of the CEO
- to attend and support with monthly SWA team meetings
- to deal with complaints and to follow the complaints procedure seeking effective resolution in a timely manner

- to be involved in yearly strategic planning for SWA and meeting regularly with Director of Services & CEO to ensure plan is following timescales set out and to justify responses with evidence
- this includes informing the Director of Services and CEO of any internal or external complaints or any media interest
- to be involved in the recruitment process of any new staff and to produce and deliver an induction programme with successful candidates
- hold regular team meetings and supervisions with your team
- attend regular clinical supervision sessions
- to participate in strategic planning meetings and strategic objective reviews
- to identify own training and development needs and participate in all training courses relevant to SWA’s commitment to providing high quality services
- to develop and maintain strategic relationships with key partners across service areas
- to work always with due regard to the policies and procedures of SWA and GWH, participating in their development and amendment where required and to inform the Director of Services or CEO immediately of any breach of policy, health and safety issue, emergency or crisis related to SWA
- to contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery and meeting key performance indicators
- evaluate and monitor service outcomes and inform managers of any issues and successes
- to work as a key team member of SMT
Requirements
- previous experience of line managing staff and supporting them to manage risk
- practical experience and knowledge of working within a criminal justice/domestic abuse service/behaviour change work
- knowledge of perpetrator programmes and understanding of behaviour change work

- 1-1 case work experience, providing practical and emotional support, undertaking risk assessments and completing support plans
- knowledge or understanding of working with offenders and best practice to reduce offending and domestic abuse
- experience of working with, or managing children, would be desirable
- experience of safeguarding procedures
- demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- experience in identifying and effectively managing risks posed by and to individuals
- evidence the ability to build and develop supportive relationships whilst maintaining professional boundaries
- experience of providing evidence for quality assurance
- evidence the ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure
- experience of working with confidentiality and adhering to professional boundaries
- demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with an ability to challenge others as required and manage conflict
- leadership: 1 year
- ability to liaise effectively and appropriately with key multi agency partners
- ability to operate and maintain administrative and case management systems
- excellent level of numeracy, literacy and writing skills
- A good understanding of other relevant legislation and guidance which affects domestic abuse victims and survivors, such as criminal, civil & family law, welfare, housing and immigration
- enhanced understanding of Safeguarding, both for children and adults
