Responsibility
- preparation and review of statutory accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns
- management of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks
- reviewing client systems and performing tests to check client information
- manage workflow and ensure client expectations and deadlines are being met
- act as point of contact for clients, providing advice on accounting and tax matters and support whilst nurturing trusted relationships
- contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients
- support Partners in the establishing new services for clients, focused on generating new business
- coach a junior team, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA or CA qualified, or equivalent, with demonstrable accountancy practice experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- excellent knowledge of accounting and tax
- strong IT skills, particularly in the use of accounting software such as Iris, Xero, Freeagent, Sage and Office 365
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and manage a portfolio of clients
- A professional and proactive approach to work
- excellent business acumen
