Responsibility
- the post holder will be accountable to the Registered Manager
- you’ll need to be comfortable doing some paperwork and re-stocking cleaning supplies as required
- as a cleaner you will be part of a team carrying out general housekeeping duties in the home, including all the communal areas, providing a hygienic and safe environment for our residents, staff and visitors
- ensuring that the home, its furnishings, equipment and linen are clean and safe at all times, meeting our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- ensuring deep cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard, complying with infection control guidelines and external areas are kept clean and tidy
- it’s important that you respect the privacy and individual needs of the residents and develop positive relationships with them as well as staff and visitors
Requirements
- previous experience of working in a care home is preferred however full training and support is provided
- energetic
- A confident personality with good communication and organisational skills
- NVQ Level 2/3 Cleaning
- good oral and written communication skills are essential
- cleaning: 2 years
- it is important to us that you are a caring, positive person with strong attention to detail whilst taking pride in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our residents as well as families and visitors
