Responsibility
- ensuring that no non-conforming items are sent to the customers
- the efficient production of blanks to meet internal & external customer expectations
- ensuring that all documentation & data is accurate and recorded
- the day-to-day maintenance of all general equipment in the Blank Shop
- ensuring all items are packed safely and professionally
- keeping work areas including tanks clean
- working efficiently to facilitate the delivery of goods on time to customers
- accurate recording of information on route-cards
Requirements
- previous experience working with optics and/or in a hands-on inspection-related role
- GCSE in maths
- ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- previous experience in the use of measurement instruments
- engineering apprenticeship, skills and experience
- ability to handle delicate and expensive optics with a very good eye for detail
- experience of operating complex machinery in a production environment
- ability to use micrometers and conduct close-up visual inspection
