Responsibility
- §Support the team in planning, observation and assessment, daily care routines, and both focused activities and continual provision during the day
- hours – Part Time, from 16 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between 8am-5.30pm, overtime available
- support all staff and engage in a good staff team

- undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, for example, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment
- responsible to - Directors, Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Room Leaders, other qualified staff working at the setting
- to attend out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, parent's evenings, summer fayre and Christmas activities
- recording accidents/incidents in the books provided and notify qualified staff and management
- liase and work alongside parents to ensure daily care and routine is consistent, and to give ALN children support in their physical, emotional, intellectual development in partnership with parents
- to respect the confidentiality of information received
- to develop your role within the team
- participate in the training programme of a wide variety of students by giving guidance and support
- work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled
- training – You will be signed up to an Level 2 or 3 Childcare/Early Years Apprenticeship with an early years training provider within the first 2 months of your post
- to be flexible within working practises within the setting be prepared to work where needed and undertaking certain domestic tasks, e.g snacks
- you will be expected to ‘learn on the job’, complete course work, attend meetings with your tutor and work through your qualification whilst working at the nursery with the support of the Crossway Team and your own inhouse mentor
- to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of the children and other professionals within the building by completing area checks and daily risk assessments for rooms
- attend staff meetings and training sessions necessary for continuing professional development
- to deploy staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios in your room at all times

- to contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Setting
Requirements
- preferable - experience in childcare
- essential - passion for and interest in working with young children and babies
- be able to work as part of a professional Childcare team
