Responsibility

  • place of Work – Crossway Nursery and Preschool, 9 Sandy Lane, Caldicot, Monmouthshire, NP26 4NA
  • hours – 24-32 hours per week - OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND 52 Weeks a year and closed for all bank holidays
  • salary – StartingSalary £24,600 - £25,500pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience
  • responsible to - Directors, Nursery Manager
  • the Setting – Crossway Nursery and Preschool is based in the centre of Caldicot
  • we are a family owned nursery and we are registered to care for 10 children in total
  • holidays – Dependant on contracted hours
  • we have a small team of staff and a strong leadership team to support all practitioners

Requirements

  • the Deputy must work with the Manager to ensure the nursery complies with the regulations set out by CIW
  • when deputising, the Deputy Manager must execute the responsibilities of a Nursery Manager according to all lawful and ethical standards
  • they must ensure good practice as set out in the National Minimum Standards for Regulated Childcare for children up to the age of 12 years and they must ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, for example, Health and Safety Law and Employment Law
