Responsibility
- report all deficiencies to the Engineering Manager or relevant department Manager for action
- during your shift carry out engineering tasks and work with the production team to plan engineering activities on the shift
- attending breakdowns and carrying out fault finding to fix the issue
- establish the root cause and implement a fix first time mentality
- to ensure the management team is kept informed of all relevant issues, legislation, food safety issues, legislative, and industry codes of practice
- document all engineering tasks carried out during the shift and agree downtime with the shift supervisor
- to carry out planned preventative maintenance activities on machinery and equipment in line with the scheduled plan, ensuring that equipment is fit for purpose on a shift / daily basis and that associated paperwork is updated and tracked, as per PPM schedules to aid an efficient Maintenance Plan
- carry out and document the engineering handover at the start and end of the shift
