Requirements
- registered Nurse Registered Mental Health Nurse 2 years experience
- registered Nurse Registered Mental Health Nurse 3 years experience
- registered Nurse with active PIN
- registered Paramedic
- all candidates are subject to prison vetting checks
- must have current manual driving license with no restrictions
- recent broad knowledge base in an environment such as GP practice, A&E, Minor injuries, and acute settings
- experience in a Prison environment
Contract type
- no parking available on site but there are car parks located in walking distance
- flexi work 0 hour contract
- based from home with an expectation of attendance at custody within 50 minutes
- days, nights and weekends
- the retainer post is a great way to pick up some unique healthcare experience whilst topping up your usual income – we offer £50 retainer fee per 12 hour shift, then £75 per call out
Responsibility
- to undertake forensic examination of police officers/staff injured whilst on duty – to record injuries and manage these appropriately
- complete all mandatory training and keep this up to date to work safely
- to act as a patients advocate and to support them through the criminal justice process in a non-judgemental manner
