Responsibility

  • my client, a renowned leader in educational and corporate software solutions, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team
  • the Business Development Manager’s primary role is to source and onboard new reseller partners for innovative solutions; once successfully onboarded, these partners will be transferred to the International Channel Managers to manage
  • the Business Development Manager will work closely with the International Channel team and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer ; they will be involved in strategic decisions and will also work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Leadership team
  • manage relationships with assigned strategic and OEM partners, identifying, appointing, and onboarding new partners where possible
  • review and update partner agreements, ensuring compliance from our partners
  • attend conferences, exhibitions, and events, both in-person and online, showcasing my client's solutions with confidence and professionalism

Requirements

  • focussed, reliable and hardworking individual with a clear focus on new business sales
  • industry experience is preferred, and an understanding of customer behaviours and industry trends in the relevant sectors would be highly beneficial
  • ideally has a proven network of relevant key business relationships within the education and corporate IT sectors
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role with demonstrable experience of the success achieved
  • A deep understanding of solution-selling methods and techniques
  • business development: 3 years
  • strong planning, organisational, presentation, communication and negotiation skills at all levels are critical
  • A work ethic that thrives in a small team with regular communication to make all parties aware of achievements as sales progress
