Responsibility

  • 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday, all year round
  • up to 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday, all year round
  • assist in meeting and maintaining our regulatory and compliant responsibilities working within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
  • to provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times
  • assume responsibility for the Nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager
  • to deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
  • the role of the Deputy Manager is to support the Manager, ensuring all children attending Crazy 4 Kids Radstone receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • the Deputy will be a creative and reflective individual, able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice

Responsibility

  • prepare and set up for the lunchtime period ensuring a clean, safe environment for children to eat
  • help nursery children with a variety of tasks, including cutting up their food
  • be aware of children/ staff with allergies or specific dietary concerns, making relevant adjustments to food items
  • communicate with Nursery Manager / Owner on how to make improvements to the lunchtime period
  • clean the kitchen and Nursery areas, to maintain high hygiene standards
  • support with play activities and supervision during the lunchtime period
  • undertake relevant training for the role as identified in performance management meetings
  • be aware and support with meeting the requirements of the Safer Food Better Business for Caterers guidance as stated by Environmental Health, facilitating Environmental Health Inspections
