hr advisor

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • offer guidance and support to line managers on employee relations, flexible working and attendance
  • support the business resourcing plan by discussing roles with managers, advertising roles, arranging interviews with candidates, and following up as appropriate
  • ensure compliance with HR policies and standards and maintain appropriate records
  • issue employment contracts and offer letters to new starters accurately and efficiently
  • help plan and support company team events and engagement initiatives
  • carry out end to end recruitment for agency and contractor staff
  • contribute to continuous improvement of HR Systems, policies and practices
  • assist with the preparation of recruitment reports with recommendations

Requirements

  • team player with experience of working within an HR department and/or recruitment team
  • ability to effectively coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities within a business
  • knowledge of basic employment law and HR best practice
  • experience with providing HR support and advice to employees and line managers
  • experience of or willingness to learn direct recruitment activities in an Aerospace Engineering environment
  • ideally Level 3 CIPD although not essential
  • ideally has also worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise and is able to demonstrate the ability to 'roll their sleeves up’ and help get things done as part of a small, friendly, flexible team
