Requirements
- full UK Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 2 in Construction or Grounds Maintenance
- training in joinery
- five years-experience within the building maintenance sector or grounds maintenance
- knowledge of building regulations
- understanding of basic plumbing
- experience in joinery
Responsibility
- to ensure clear and safe pedestrian access to the Innovation Centre particularly in adverse weather conditions
- to act as a Fire Warden at Centre’s 1 and 2
- inspect and report any defects on firefighting equipment to the Property Manager
- to comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation and CIDO policies and carry out weekly fire alarm tests and assist with evacuation procedures
- to liaise with the relevant contractors and local authority when necessary and ensure that they are aware of CIDO’s health and safety requirements
- to work with the Maintenance Assistant to carry out Grass cutting at the various CIDO sites and to undertake grounds maintenance as required
- to dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygienic manner ensuring that it is available for collection as required
- to carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job
