Responsibility
- construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety regulations
- collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of scaffolding tasks
- inspect scaffolding for stability and safety before use, making necessary adjustments as required
- utilise hand tools and power tools effectively, including but not limited to saws, drills, and welding equipment
- fabricate scaffolding components as needed, ensuring precision in measurements and cuts
- maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- assist in other construction tasks as required, which may include carpentry, masonry, painting, electrical work, plumbing, or roofing
Requirements
- proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred
- proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- familiarity with carpentry, masonry, fabrication techniques, painting, electrical work, plumbing, welding, or roofing is advantageous
- strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
