clinical
offer telephone assessments to patients with anxiety and/or depression, both with and without long term physical health conditions
this work is primarily by telephone with some face-to-face contact
discharge patients following successful completion of treatment or refer on for higher intensity treatment if required
undertake patient-centred telephone assessments using TT standardised measures and LTC additional measures and identify the areas where the person wishes to see change or recovery
make assessment of risk to self and others and after discussion with a supervisor refer patients back to GPs or Adult Mental Health Team’s if they are deemed to be at risk
refer on to other services as appropriate
offer a range of choice about treatment options available based on the least burden of intervention appropriate to need and provide a range of short-term evidence based low -intensity psychological treatment interventions in accordance with NICE Guidance
Requirements
knowledge and understanding of key issues
presentation and ability to convey ideas coherently
spelling, grammar and punctuation
you will be attending university for 2 days a week and at placement 3 days a week
as a Trainee PWP, you will be a full time Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust employee within the NHS Talking Therapies service, whilst attending the PWP Training programme
