Responsibility

  • assess and optimise workshop facilities at park level
  • manage the supplier relationship to buy or lease new vehicles to meet park requirements, managing from order through to delivery
  • keep an accurate master stock file so information is readily available for every vehicle at every park
  • add and remove vehicles from the Motor Insurance Database
  • ensure all vehicles are MOT certified and work with operators to arrange testing when required
  • implement and manage a Fleet strategy covering all aspects of procurement, vehicle management, health & safety, compliance, insurance, training needs, sustainability and cost control
  • ensure all vehicles are fully taxed, at all times
  • provide plans to maximise vehicle up time by reviewing fleet system improvements then implementing over time
