Responsibility

  • ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times
  • day to day running of a hire office
  • conducting regular in-house checks to ensure compliance to procedures
  • ensuring all plant records are kept up to date including lifting certificates
  • ensuring Insurance data base is kept up to date
  • organising transport for equipment deliveries / collections
  • process paperwork for customer on / off hires
  • the role involves direct communication with the depot managers to ensure customers machine requirements are available on the dates required for hire

Requirements

  • good communicator
  • excellent telephone manner
  • familiarisation with compaction equipment -though machine specific training will be provided
  • computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office
  • additional training will be given to the successful applicant
  • the Hire Controller position will be responsible for the day to day running of a busy hire office processing customer orders and organising transport, managing transport delivery drivers
  • the role involves direct communication with customers and depot managers to ensure customers machine requirements are available on the dates required for hire
