Responsibility

  • duties
  • attending and rectifying production breakdowns
  • electrical fault finding and maintenance
  • maintaining and repairing a wide variety of machinery
  • as plant electrician at our Gloucester factory you will be responsible for the electrical/electronic maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring that all plant, equipment and site services are in good working order to support the requirements of a 24-hour manufacturing site
  • regular electrical safety testing of equipment and machinery
  • you will have the ability to work - both as part of a team and under your own initiative - to maintain and repair a variety of production equipment and machinery in a demanding production environment
  • fault finding, diagnostics and day-to-day repairs will form part of the responsibilities of this role, alongside delivering scheduled PPMs and carrying out installations of new production assets and relocation of existing equipment

Requirements

  • level 3 City and Guilds 2365 Electrotechnical Craft or similar qualification
  • city and Guilds 2382-22
  • NVQ/ONC/HNC or additional relevant qualification
  • relevant industrial electrical experience
  • time served apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing/plant environment –desirable
