Responsibility
- we are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a nursing home setting in Crawley,TA8
- the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for our residents
- assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring they are of high quality and meet dietary requirements
- ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and tidy, in accordance with hygiene and health and safety regulations
- serving meals to residents in a professional and friendly manner
- maintaining accurate records of food supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained
- assisting with the management of the kitchen, including ordering supplies and managing budgets
- participating in training and development activities to continuously improve the quality of service provided
Requirements
- previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant in a similar environment, ideally in a nursing home setting
- A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure
- A passion for providing high-quality meals for vulnerable adults
- chef: 1 year
- cooking: 1 year
- kitchen experience: 1 year
