Responsibility
- training and Mentoring Freight Forwarding Co-ordinators
- interaction with customers, team members and all internal departments including Sales, Operations, Transport & Finance
- training and Mentoring Freight Forwarding Co-ordinators. Contribute to the development and updating of the Containerlift SOP
- handling of Export Deep and Short Sea FCL bookings; receiving and making Bookings, arranging Transport, issuing relevant documentation , VGM’s, Customs Export Entries, CTN’s, T Docs, Releases & deliveries, Invoicing
- process all aspects of the Freight Forwarding Export Operations from initial booking through to job completion and subsequent invoicing using Order Management System
- ensure Shipping Line/ Carrier/ Agent have instructions for Bills of Lading, VGM and UCR references in a timely manner
- liaise with customers and other departments during the booking process ensuring all bookings are handled in accordance with Containerlift SOP and payment terms
- work closely with Containerlift departments such as Transport and Finance
Requirements
- understanding of the operation of Containerlift equipment and benefit to customers
- customer Service focused
- good communication and organisational skills
- understanding of Customs Export procedures
- experience of working in a busy Export Freight Forwarding environment
- able to work of own initiative
- understanding of Booking and Transport procedures for Sea Freight shipments
- ability to build and develop relationships with both customers and suppliers
