Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • the efficient planning and routing of a fleet of HGV vehicles to ensure maximum profitability
  • sourcing Backloads
  • communicating with Drivers, Customers and Sub-Contractors
  • accurately processing jobs using transport management software
  • processing drivers weekly run sheets, job allocations and PODs
  • providing quotations for customers
  • assisting drivers with job information and troubleshooting problems
  • ensuring that drivers are compliant with drivers’ hours and working time regulations

Requirements

  • working knowledge of current legislation on regulations on drivers' hours
  • A Certificate of Professional Competence would be advantageous
  • ability to plan and prioritise work meeting strict deadlines
  • knowledge of Tachomaster software would be a bonus
  • excellent Customer service skills
  • transport Planning in the construction industry: 2 years
  • our operation involves transporting building materials such as bricks, blocks, roof tiles and construction related materials. Experience planning in the building/construction industry is required
  • strong written, numerical and verbal communication skills
