  • con Mech Engineers is a local firm based in Stanley, Co Durham. We have over 70 years in manufacturing ground engaging tools, precision engineering and offer a world class heat treatment service

Requirements

  • working with the engineering department to make improvements on both new and old programs
  • solid understanding of tooling and its capabilities
  • understanding of machining various types of metals, mild steel, tool steel and hardened Boron steel
  • reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • following process on works orders
  • ensure a high standard of quality
  • operating various Vertical Machining Centers FANC control systems. The ideal candidate will be fully familiar with these systems and ideally time served. Use of a 4 axis would be an advantage
  • operating lifting equipment
