Responsibility
- able to identify and develop warehouse operating systems to solve day-to-day issues and improve productivity and efficiencies within the department
- to manage and oversee the workflow and quality of work from the warehouse/driving team to achieve short and long term goals
- to supervise the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse to include staff productivity, logistics, space management, inventory control and quality and customer service
- ensuring all standards, procedures and legal obligations and regulations are always followed and adhered to
- to ensure that all returns or product/delivery issues are dealt with efficiently and accurately on a daily basis
- to oversee and manage the logistics used to deliver customer deliveries and deliveries to other facilities and to communicate effectively with drivers
- to ensure that all deliveries to the warehouse are checked, booked in and located efficiently and accurately
- to manage the inspection of all vehicles, equipment, machinery, and tools used and to oversee their maintenance and servicing as and when required
