you will be responsible for managing our HS systems and supporting the HS assurance programme and projects
company Shop Group is the largest commercial redistributor of surplus food and household products in the UK, enabling some of the biggest retailers, manufacturers, food service and logistics providers to unlock value from surplus stock, which may have otherwise gone to waste
the surplus we handle is redistributed through our Company Shop stores and our award-winning social enterprise Community Shop where we build stronger individuals and more confident communities
as the Health & Safety Advisor your role is to provide professional Health & Safety guidance, advice, and support to the business, working closely with stakeholders in a pro-active and collaborative way to help reach the vision and achieve the mission
Requirements
role & Responsibilities
support the Head of H&S to collaboratively deliver the vision for Health & Safety
uses specialist knowledge and understanding of risk management systems to support the business to manage H&S
to develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with service areas, colleagues and operations, establishing professional credibility
imparts specialist H&S and systems knowledge to others through education, communication, and training
to lead and/or support on internal audits and the assurance programme, ensuring legislation, policy and best practice are followed
partners HS Team and operational colleagues to support them to develop and implement H&S improvement plans
to provide a dedicated H&S advisory service for our systems and processes and general H&S to help the business implement effective H&S risk controls
