Responsibility

  • to support our continued expansion, we are looking for an Electronic Assembly Technician to join the Company within our manufacturing facility
  • the role requires a hands-on individual who will assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies and products to existing drawings and work instructions
  • main Duties
  • assembly of electronic components, sub-assemblies and products in accordance with production build instructions and drawings
  • manual assembly of printed circuit board assemblies using both surface mount technology and through-hole
  • rework of PCB assemblies soldering to IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21 & IPC-J-STD-001 standards using engineering drawings
  • assemble prototype and qualification PCBs, working closely with the Design and Development department
  • stock and kit checking to ensure parts available for build to commence

Requirements

  • demonstrable experience in fine detail, surface mount and through hole electronic assembly
  • experience running a pick and place machine, ideally Mycronic family machine
  • excellent attention to detail and quality
  • qualified to IPC-A-610 / IPC-J-STD-001 / IPC-7711/21
  • ability to work with little supervision
  • effective oral and written communication skills
