Responsibility
- job Title: Site Manager
- obtain copies of method statements and risk assessments from contractors prior to the work, to which they pertain, prior to commencing
- understand the Health and Safety Policy, Procedures and Safety Management System and ensure that they are implemented, and that work is carried out in accordance with them
- ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of any method statement or risk assessment pertaining to that work and that adequate resources exist to ensure the work is carried out safely
- prepare method statements and risk assessments for work being carried out directly prior to the work, to which they pertain, commencing. The Health and Safety advisors will assist in this process
- assist with the investigation of all accidents, dangerous occurrences and near misses and with establishing suitable remedial measures to prevent similar situations in the future
- ensure that all pre-contract documentation required by under Health and Safety Procedures are fully completed and recorded on file
- ensure the safe delivery and stacking of materials to prevent obstruction of access and egress routes
